Nike Soccer Cleats
Commodity Project
This map illustrates where Nike manufactures its soccer cleats and where each cleat may end up! Each cleat starts as an idea that is developed into a prototype and tested at the Nike Sports Research Laboratory (NSRL) in Beaverton, Oregon. The designs are then sent to 3rd party manufactoring plants, or producers, all over the world. These plants can then distribute the finished product to stores worldwide, where consumers go to get a pair for themselves! The map also makes note of three other commodity activities; materials, working conditions, and recycling. To learn more about advertising and product variety, check out the map on the product variety page!
